Every month Tony Colman will be searching far and wide to bring you stories to tickle your historical taste buds. There’ll be tales from the past and culture and heritage will also feature heavily. Tony will also betaking a look at how history plays a part in life as we live it today. So whatever your historical interest the hope is there’ll be lots to keep you coming back.

Presented by Alex Nisbet the show features chart hits from musicians who all have one thing in common, they were born in Scotland. From Aztec Camera to Wet, Wet, Wet and from Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson to AC/DC’s Angus and Malcolm Young. Later in the series there will be some genre specific shows for fans of classical and folk music.

Corinium Radio virtual DJ bring you a selection of music from the 60’s

Rowland grew up in Dagenham, Essex listening to The Beatles and at the age of thirteen formed a band with close friend Stevie Shears. The pair were often seen at the Dagenham Roundhouse taking in the huge variety of music on offer at the time. For budding musicians this was a fabulous education.
Stevie went on to play guitar with Ultravox and Rowland became a founder member of Gloria Mundi and played bass guitar with the band. Then called Ice, audiences described him as enigmatic. Rowland still has a large appetite for music, both old and new, a sampling of which can be heard on his programme, OXLAND’S ALL SORTS.
Nick delves into the archives to find interesting and varied tracks from the decades. Playing tracks from both well and lesser known artists in the fields of Rock, Prog. Rock, Folk Rock, Blues and the Singer/Songwriters from the late 1960s through to the ’80s.
Tea Time Tales takes on a different slant in 2021. The idea of covering each month with stories and news items from the past is being extended to include what you might see in the natural world, memories from those years when a slower pace of life was the norm and which might inspire the listener to say ‘I remember that ‘or ‘I never knew that.’
