Town FC Put On A Good Cup Show…

Cheltenham Town FC fell out of the FA Cup running at the weekend.

But the local lads had no reason to be down about their performance.

Town suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of giants Manchester City but the score didn’t really reflect the local side’s overall effort.

Cheltenham notched up the first goal of the clash thanks to Alfie May and held the lead for a good part of the game.

Town rose to the occasion and for a while it looked as though they might pull victory out of the hat – but it was not to be!

Three late goals sealed Cheltenham’s fate and robbed them of the chance to become “giant-killers”.

Town manager Michael Duff praised the incredible performance of his lads and they won a heap of respect  as a result of their attempt.
