Top Steam Show Falls Victim To The Virus

A premium Cotswold heritage show has been cancelled because of Coronavirus.

The annual Gloucestershire Vintage and Country Extravaganza was due to be held on the 6th to 8th of August this year.

But Martyn Slater, chairman of the organisers, said that it was with great sadness that it was felt necessary to cancel the 46th annual event.

The event is organised by Stroud Vintage Transport and Engine Club and usually takes place at South Cerney Airfield.

The show, which costs about £200,000, is widely regarded as one of the biggest and best steam, vintage and countryside events in the UK and attracts over 20,000 visitors from across the country.
