Historic Town Building Embraces A New Life

An historic Cirencester house is being converted into a luxury boutique hotel.

The development centres on Ingleside House on Beeches Road, next to the award-winning Barn Theatre.

The building dates back to the late 18th century.

The new 11-bedroom hotel is due to open for the late May Bank Holiday.

The new project will offer more jobs for the town as well as providing a further boost to tourism and visitor numbers.

Over the course of its 300 year existence, Ingleside House has had many purposes and re-purposes, from initially being a private residence.

It served as offices for the WW2 effort and more recently was a community centre and private school.

Ingleside was granted Grade 2 listed status in August 1992.
