Helping Manage Bingham Legacy

Cirencester’s  Bingham Library Trust Ltd has been seeking to make new appointments.

This is a newly formed charity and company limited by guarantee with the role and remit of managing the legacy bequeathed in 1905 by philanthropist Daniel George Bingham.

The Trust is looking for new Director Trustees to join the team at Bingham House, who have the skills, knowledge and professional attributes to help take the Trust forward alongside the effective and efficient stewardship of the Trust’s commercial property, community C-Hub, annual art exhibition, investments and archived assets.

The Board of Director Trustees meet at least four times a year, in addition to holding an annual public meeting. Invariably meetings take place at Bingham House on a Tuesday at 4pm; recently meetings have been held remotely using zoom.

Overall, the estimated minimum time commitment is around six half days per annum plus reading and preparation time for meetings.
