Council Pledge To Help Cotswolds Stay Safe

Cotswold District Council has pledged to work to make sure local businesses are Covid-secure.

The local authority is working with the Health and Safety Executive to contact businesses in the Cotswold area to check they have Covid-secure measures in place and to help tackle Coronavirus in the local area.

During the checks, officials will provide advice and guidance to manage risk and protect workers customers and visitors.

Action can be taken against businesses which are not managing risks.

Cllr Andrew Doherty, cabinet member for Environment, said, “Becoming Covid-secure needs to be the priority for all businesses in the Cotswolds.

“It is a legal duty for businesses to protect their workers and others from harm.”
