Corinium Radio Remembers…

Corinium Radio will be recalling a special time in the recent history of Cirencester on Remembrance Sunday.

We’re re-running a programme we made back in 2018, which tells the story of how the local community came together to mark the centenary of the ending of World War One.

The programme is called Cirencester Remembers 1918 and it goes out at 1pm.

Included are stories from the Great War, music from the period and interviews with those who helped create a giant human poppy in the town. Click on this link to see a video of the human poppy being created.
