Cheltenham Faces Historic FA Cup Clash…

Corinium Radio’s news team is looking forward to a memorable up-coming football clash.

We’re talking, of course, about the quest for FA Cup honours being fought out between Cheltenham Town FC and Premier League giants Manchester City.

Cheltenham’s home tie against the six time competition winners was their prize for a win over Mansfield Town.

Due to take place on the weekend of 23rd January, it is only the third time in Town’s history that they have reached this stage of the competition.

So far Cheltenham have defeated South Shields, Crewe Alexandra and Mansfield to set up the forth round tie.

Town manager Michael Duff said, “Normally we do strengths and weaknesses of the opposition but I think we’ll just do strengths on Man City! I’m not sure there are too many weaknesses.”
