A lot of love for community radio anniversary

Corinium Radio is marking the 100th anniversary of the launch of Britain’s first radio station today (February 14).

February 14 1922 marks the birth of local community radio station 2MT Writtle, which began broadcasting from an ex-Army hut near Chelmsford in Essex.

This station would go on to be the first local radio station to broadcast across the British Isles on a regular basis.
