Oxland’s All Sorts Special (06/03/21)

Rowland grew up in Dagenham, Essex listening to The Beatles and at the age of thirteen formed a band with close friend Stevie Shears. The pair were often seen at the Dagenham Roundhouse taking in the huge variety of music on offer at the time. For budding musicians this was a fabulous education.
Stevie went on to play guitar with Ultravox and Rowland became a founder member of Gloria Mundi and played bass guitar with the band. Then called Ice, audiences described him as enigmatic. Rowland still has a large appetite for music, both old and new, a sampling of which can be heard on his programme, OXLAND’S ALL SORTS.
